Job Search Sites

There are many sites such as Staffinglinks, Monster and Hotjobs and many more all over the net which will help you find the right job. These sites are designed to assist you in your job search.

Generally speaking, the Internet includes eight types of sites that are most useful when looking for specific job postings or advertisements. Employment or Job Bank sites contain company, employer, or recruiter sponsored job postings. Employment Sites may specialize in a particular function, industry, or geographical location. Executive Recruiter sites contain job postings offered by the Recruiter or by a Recruiting Network.

Newspaper and Classified sites generally contain job posting which originally appeared as print ads in local newspaper editions. Company web sites generally include jobs currently available in the organization. The Internet Employment Newsgroups (Usenet) contain job postings organized by type of position or geographical location. Since the Newsgroups are a free source of advertising they typically contain 1,000's of jobs posted daily.

Two additional sources of Job Postings are Association web sites and College and University sites. Association sites often contain resume banks and job positing of interest to the association membership. Colleges and Universities typically have an online career center. Often jobs are posted for alumni and/or jobs available in the local community. Most colleges also post teaching and non teaching jobs currently available. This source of employment information is often overlooked by job seekers.

JobMetaSeek contains 1000's of links to these job search resources. Use the following links to go directly to the resource of interest.
